I came into this profession after many years of being deeply immersed in my own psycho spiritual process. I feel excited to share this path with others as this is my life's passion. I can see from my own experience the vast potential for healing that can unfold through being involved with another human who embodies compassion and loving awareness.
As a therapist and as a person, I am deeply influenced and impacted by different holistic approaches to the human experience. For many years I have been working in and have become passionate about movement, meditation and guided imagery. As a result, in my work with clients I pay close attention to the person as a whole: body, mind, spirit, family, culture, systems, and gender, to name just a few of the many facets of existence. Being a supportive witness for other people's healing journeys is a very sacred process.
I am currently working as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with individuals, couples and teenagers in my private practice in San Francisco. I hold a masters degree in integral counseling psychology from California institute of integral studies.
Some of my trainings also include: Hakomi training, somatic experiencing for trauma work, family constellation, yoga, transpersonal and psychoanalytic perspectives. All of these traditions influence me when I sit with a person, yet I always allow the moment and the field to inform me of what is needed in the present moment.
I view psychotherapy as a collaborative process. When working together we use our relationship as a door into ways you show up in the world. In an empathic, warm, non-judgmental, safe space, we unravel the patterns that keep you stuck in life, we celebrate the small victories, and unlock your aliveness.
Compassionate awareness is brought to your body, mind, and spirit. Together we think, sense, feel and intuit the way to your truth. An important part of our work is to learn to listen to yourself from the depth of your being rather just from the thinking mind. To support the process I use contemporary analytic methods combined with somatic, spiritual approaches.
